Profile overview

Eurecat is the main technological center of Catalonia and the second largest private research organization in southern Europe. EURECAT offers both large and small and medium-sized companies from all sectors, applied R&D projects, technological services, highly specialized training, technological consultancy and professional events. With a volume of revenue of 51 million euros, more than 1,500 clients and a staff of 650 professionals (39% women), EURECAT participates in more than 200 R&D projects of high strategic value on a national and international scale. As an example, it currently participates in 60 H2020 projects, leading 15 of them. The technology center has 81 patents and 7 spin-offs and is recognized by the European Commission as a KETs technology center (Key Enabling Technologies or Essential Facilitating Technologies) given its close collaboration with SMEs in innovation and market research activities. The added value provided by EURECAT accelerates innovation, reduces spending on scientific and technological infrastructures, reduces risks and provides specialized knowledge tailored to each company. Likewise, its willingness is to collaborate with other agents of the national innovative system.
